What's IBAPP Fieldwork record?

IBAPP is an ANDROID application, FREE and WITHOUT ANNOUNCEMENTS, developed for the collection of field data.

It was initially designed to be used in Archaeology and Geology but its versatility allows its use in a wider set of fields. It is basically conformed by a “Settings” screen where a classification system of “materials” is established, which will be later accessed from the “Projects” section.

The four main drop-down screens can be freely modified to fit our needs in the “Settings” menu, to define categories and sub-categories related and dependant among themselves.

It also has different tools to complete the data recording should the user consider it necessary. Some of them are Beta versions, with a precision depending on the device where IPAPP is installed (for example, the GPS function).
The data collection at the “Projects” section is made through text and numeric drop-down fields, which can be later exported as text files.

The collected data are stored locally in the root folder of the device where IBAPP is installed, and can be shared from that same location.

The use of IBAPP has four basic steps of use:
- Definition of classifications – “Settings -> Categories”.
- Creation of a new “Project”.
- Collection of data “Materials/Layers”.
- Export results.
